Long-distance move from McKinney, TX to Lake in the Hills, IL

Fraud and changed review, fraud reviews, claims depar in with Orange

Fraudulent advertising that they are competent.

Orange Van lines originally quoted 2200 cubic Ft, over the phone tome for a Intrastate move from TX to IL and I knew there would be some leeway based on a phone conversation but 1000 SQ cubic Ft The truck arrives at new place and I ask to see the cubic feet markings on the ceiling, he said no problem and it said 2400 Cubic Ft, I called Customer service and “Katia” said I did not know what I was talking about and pay up or they would not give me my things. . When the movers were unloading the truck, I was called to see multiple times, which meant something was either broken or damaged. Four major items were destroyed, MY Thomasville dining room was completely ruined, they shattered the cabinet mirror when they broke through the back, they completely tore the side off the SIDE of the base, tore a leg off a chair (I mean ripped the wood), not just at the screws, the glass shelves broken and all the hardware missing and the table leaves. They must have used My new Samsung black French door refrigerator as a hockey puck as it is so scratched up, from top to bottom and two corners completely dented in, that it is unusable. My bedroom set had smashed corners, and wood details missing. My final cost went from $6,135.96 to $9,740.00 and upon delivery balance of $3650.80 in CASH to release my things. Total Damages approx. $16,000 to $19,000.

Long-distance move from Texas to Illinois

Damages cost more than move! Overcharged Too.

Orange Van lines originally quoted 2200 cubic Ft, over the phone tome for a Intrastate move from TX to IL and I knew there would be some leeway based on a phone conversation but 1000 SQ cubic Ft!! . I asked the foreman what my cubic ft. was when they were just about done loading the first 24 ft truck 1st truck (A UHAUL by the Way)! A worker told the foreman that there was still more room in it and the foreman said, don’t say to (be quiet) and don’t say anything else about it. The next thing I knew, the first truck was gone and a second plain white 20 foot truck was in the back of my house. I asked the foreman 1st truck go and he said to the warehouse and they definitely needed a second truck. I told him I wanted to see inside the truck when they were done and he said no problem and I also told him I want to see inside the truck when they arrived in IL which he replied fine. When they were done he didn’t allow me to see inside the truck! He gave me paperwork to sign, which said my things were 3200. Final price went from $6,135.96 to$9,740.00. I told him I was going to look inside the moving truck to see Cu Ft markings when they deliver. I called several times and related the scratched and dinged up the walls of the house and they said be sure to note that. I called talked to Nicole to? Delivery and to note prior issues. The truck arrives and I ask to see the cubic feet markings on the ceiling, he said no problem and it said 2400 Cubic Ft, however I still had to pay the balance $3650.80 in CASH to release my things. I called customer Service, Katia who answered asked how I knew my furniture and items/boxes etc. was 2400 cu ft. and I said I was looking inside the truck as we spoke, she said I signed paperwork for 3200 cu ft. So that’s what I had to pay for said the foreman told me it was 3300, she said why did I let them load? What, how was I to know what the cubic ft. would be? She would not listen and talked over me and when I finally said I was going to file a complaint, she said I don’t care if you call Obama! She is the rudest person! She asked why I didn’t say something sooner, I did call and talked to Nicole, and Katia said there was no notes. WHERE ARE THE PHONE RECORDS? I asked to a supervisor and she told me she was it, I asked to speak to someone higher up and she said she was it and hung up on me. When the movers were unloading the truck, I was called to see multiple times, which meant something was either broken or damaged. Four major items were destroyed, MY China Cab was broken in the back and the mirror shattered, a top piece was broken off and one of the legs of a chair was ripped off. My bedroom set has a broken piece and damaged corners and top. My Samsung French door Refrigerator front and sides are so completely scratched (down to bare metal) and the door has a large dent and the top edges are dented that it is unusable.

Long-distance move from California to Texas

Pleased Service.

I recently moved from San Bernadino, CA to Dallas,TX and used Orange Van Lines for the process. I had a wonderful experience with the company, everyone from the office I spoke with was just lovely and the crew at my home did an amazing job. Everything was packed and wrapped quickly and before I knew it they were gone. My items were a week later and set up inside my home to my liking. I was very pleased with the service Orange Van Lines provided.

Long-distance move from California to Oregon

Worse moving experience ever!

NO! Absolutely not! The parent company is Frontier Van Lines out of Houston TX. These people are ripoff artists. As I reported and filed a complaint to the US DOT FMSCA.gov, BBB, Oregon, California and Texas Justice Department, as well as movers.com and ripoff report, this company quotes you one thing on paper but the actual bill is 40 - 50% higher! Plus they do not communicate, I had to call them. They handled our fragile goods so poorly that about half of our kitchen and hutch items were shattered or broken, many of them one-of-a-kind antiques. Never seen anything like it. To top it all off, they estimated delivery of our household goods from pickup to be 1 - 10 days. In fact it took them 22 days! We found out that when they left our house with our items with a full truck, instead of going north to our destination, they went south to Compton CA and stored our goods! It was closer to just continue going to our destination! Where is the sense in that??! Like I said I had to call them almost every day for updates and mostly I received, "Our dispatcher handles those requests and there is no status at this time." When they finally showed up it was in a Penske Truck rental with "Orange Van Lines" taped to the side of the door and our expensive box springs were strapped to the back of the van!! I am almost certain the only people giving them favorable reviews are employees of the company and/or their friends or paid to do so. AVOID Orange Van Lines and Frontier Van Lines at all costs!

Long-distance move from Texas to New York

Worst Moving Company Ever.

I was quoted for $1500 for the original moving cost. Thinking I got a great deal after doing a bunch of research, I decided to move forward with this company. What a TERRIBLE Mistake. I am a single female with a normal amount of stuff for a one bedroom apartment. I gave them a list of everything I had at the best of my ability. When the movers got to my apartment they started packing everything into the moving truck while the guy went over the paperwork. After walking through and counting my boxes and furniture and told me I was off on the quote. Ok, I thought maybe 500 - $1000 MAX. No it was DOUBLE the cost!! DOUBLE. How can a company who does this for a living be that far off on a quote. They should have an idea on how much a standard one bedroom apartment costs to move, even if I was off on the list of things I gave them. At that point I felt backed into a corner because they were already loading my stuff so I couldn't tell them no, never mind, i'm not going with this company it's too expensive.

They kept bringing up these hidden costs that had never been communicated before that point. I'm moving to NYC and was told if the truck can't fit in the street that they would have to park it somewhere where the truck fits and shuttle everything to my apartment. Not once did they mention that would be an additional $500. Then I needed to put the stuff in storage until I found an apartment in NYC. The minute I signed my lease, I called them to have them deliver everything. I called on a Wed afternoon and by Monday nothing had been done. I told them I had to have everything there by Friday. They told me it was getting loaded on Monday and starting the drive on Monday. Tuesday I got a call to let me know my stuff was just getting loaded and that I probably wouldn't have my stuff for another week!! I'm paying an astronomical price and they are taking FOREVER to delivery my stuff!! I tried talking to customer service several times and no one was helpful. They honestly could have given two [EDIT] to help remedy this entire situation. They were an absolute NIGHTMARE to deal with. I've moved a lot in my life and never had I had such a HORRIBLE experience with a moving company. I HIGHLY HIGHLY Suggest not using this company for your next move!! .

Long-distance move from California to Texas

Worse move ever.

We were quoted $1,690. We gave them $2,057. Now stuff is being held hostage for another $2,440.07. They are demanding cash or postal money order. Anyone know a lawyer that would like to have at them. Oh if you use company check dates of all paperwork they give you. Never talked to them until February. Yet all dates on their paper work says early January. Police told us not to give the cash or money orders. They said extremely shady and something was really wrong with this.

Local move within Texas

Stay away.

Horrible company. The do a bait and switch on the original quote and agreed upon terms. After receiving multiple quotes we awarded the moving business to OVL, they were not the cheapest but they agreed to match the storage price that other companies had quoted. We told them we were not sure if we were going to Tampa or Las Cruces as I was waiting to finalize job offers. We notated this on all contracts but they did the quote based on Tampa but told me that it could be changed no problem. The packers were great other then the hidden charges like tap $4 roll clothing boxes $41 etc. They loaded up and took our furniture to Houston and part or the agreement was they would store it for 180 per month. We decided on our job offer and the move was to Las Cruces. After we arrived there we called the movers to let them know our plans and also to setup payment for storage. This is when the lovely Katia told me that because we went over on our cube that the 180 in storage would not be honored and it would be closer to 500 and since I changed my mind and moved to New Mexico that would be more charges yet. I was upset and every time I asked this motor mouth a question she just talked over me. Finally I had enough and asked for Daniel who was the original person I spoke to and made the agreements with. Katia kept transferring me, putting me on hold and playing games but would not let me talk to Daniel. After a week of trying to get hold of Daniel I find out that he was out of the office. Daniel and I spoke and he backpedaled on everything we agreed on. After feeling like I was getting milked for cash I told Daniel to just bring our furniture and we would store it locally. We got the call from the truck driver that he was going to deliver our items. My wife met him at the storage shed and the truck driver hit the storage shed building with his truck. After that was done he was to start unloading. Oh wait his worker did not show up, so he was trying to call local moving companies to help unloaded. He tied my wife up for 2 hours before even starting to unload then finally help came. He then said he would need to charge us another 150 because he had to walk in the storage area and could not pull up right next to it. They began unloading and our furniture was trashed. Our bed foot board was broken on a new bedroom set, dresser tore up, scratch and the side broke. Dishes broken, pictures and frames broken. After not stacking our items right in the shed, the truck driver sends the help home and tries to finish by himself. Since he did not stack things right we had to get another storage shed. I call the Orange Van Lines and the lovely Katia I get to speak with again. This B**ch would not shut her pie hole and allow me to talk. I called multiple times to speak with a manager and they just transferred me around and or put me on hold. These people should not be in the moving business and Katia needs to be fired.

Long-distance move from Colorado to Washington

I would use them again.

I used Orange van lines to move my family and me over to WA. We had a large amount of things to be moved and we sure our price would be high. We got on the phone with one of their representatives and gave them my list of our things and were pleasantly surprised when the price was within our budget! We got a great service after that and the movers who came to move our things worked very professionally and put the things onto the truck with care which we appreciated very much. After receiving our things in WA, we are very happy that we went with Orange van lines and would use them again if needed.

Long-distance move from California to Washington

Pleased service.

My wife and I just completed a move to Seattle. We were very pleased with the services provided by Orange Van Lines. We are writing this specifically because of our own initial trepidation toward hiring the company based on reviews that were a factor, but they also had good references and other positive reviews. It makes the whole process more difficult and confusing. Initially our in-home estimator Matthew presented the company to us built a proposal based on the items we were moving, a binding quote. This was very detail specific as we had a ton of outdoor stuff and a separate pick up from storage, in short he was very professional, part of the reason we hired Orange. The move day came, Miguel and his crew were tremendous, dressed in Orange as advertised and experts at wrapping our stuff, this was obvious. There was a $475.00 increase in the cost of the move resulting from exercise equipment and some garden tools that we added on after the quote, so we were ok with that. The next phase was a bit worrisome because of all the negative reviews about almost every company on the market including Orange. We received delivery 18 days after our load date…7 days after our requested date. This was within the agreed timeline, even though we wanted it closer to our “1st available delivery date” as it states in the fine print. Everything arrived safe and sound as they said so we would be happy to recommend this company to any prospective client.

Long-distance move from Oklahoma to Texas

Moving.

My quote on the original contract was 3300.00 and when they arrived to load it, the cost jumped up 1300.00.  A lot of my stuff was loaded in a rental trailer that I had to rent.  They told me they would pick up my stuff in a 53' trailer but arrived in an Enterprise Rental truck all of 23'.  They further told me they would deliver the furniture on Sunday March 29, 2015, but never showed up.  I received a call from a Nick in Dallas and he said they would deliver Monday March 30, 2015 between 10 and 12 and further stated I had to have postal money orders for the balance.  The contract stated 10% booking which I paid, 60% check on pick up, which I paid and 30% CASH on delivery.  But Nick said no I had to have postal money orders not Bank cashier checks and it would cost me an  150.00.  When they arrived an hour late at the drop off, they wanted their monies and for me to sign for my goods and would not let me look in the truck until they had their monies.  I had to call the police because they would not let me see my stuff and were trying to leave with the monies and my stuff.  After the police arrived everything was ok but a lot of my stuff was damaged and now I am trying to file a claim, but you can never get anyone to answer the phone.  I WILL NEVER USE THIS MOVING COMPANY - ORANGE VAN LINES AND ALLWAYS MOVERS AGAIN.  This was the worst 4 days of my move.  I wished I had read all the reviews prior to this booking.

They worked great.

First off, I would like to thank Ben for being patient and consistent with me. Being a single father of two is really takes a all of my free time, I worked around my schedule to make sure my move was ready to go. on the pickup day the driver Eddy notified me that he is running about an hour late, which is understandable as it had been driving in LA traffic. Eddy was great and the movers were careful but fast and the boys loved them and try to help them packing, the delivery was a day after and all items arrived without any damage, it was a really great move.

Avoid Them at All Costs - Horrendous, Horrible Company - Worst Ever.

I do have all issue with this Move - LOSS , DAMAGE, DELAY and WORST Service . I tired to call so many times for getting more updates but no response or follow up call from Company.

LOSS: -

Adult Bike – Bike is missing in Shipment and Company did acknowledge that on Delivery as well mention in Inventory list as well. No followup or not try to look further .

DAMAGE:-

There are items damage and Movers did acknowledge that on Delivery as well mention in Inventory list as well. Provided all details and pictures but not getting enough details or understand part of how adjustment happen in the claim.

DELAY: - Services are delay especially in pickup and drop off time lines. All email communication is saved for this discussion.Someone Customer service named - Lee mention, let's working out first pickup and then will take care all things. But After pickup they told file a claim for delay and service you got. In Claim response we got nothing.

OverCharge:

As per given Inventory estimate is given as 560 Cu Ft. Removed Coffee table from initial Inventory and added few small things in Inventory. Which can increased max more 50 Cu ft., but instead of that they increase round figure to 660 Cu Ft. I am fine with that but never get explanation/answer what caused estimated size increased to 100 Cu ft. I already paid all charges based on 660 Cu Ft but I think I got overcharged for same.

Worst Company Ever.

AVOID THEM AT ALL COSTS - HORRENDOUS, HORRIBLE COMPANY - WORST EVER

If I could give them a zero I would. I saw warnings like mine on Yelp but I ignored them because of the low price - never again. They lost five items - some were big and very hard to miss or lose - all total valued at over $2000 - a musical instrument/expensive clothes/collectible books and more - and they even gave me some items that were not even mine - and never picked them up for the poor people that they actually belonged to - really?

I called them and sent them many emails for a month with detailed information about this bungled move - they never called back, never explained, never traced anything as far as I know and never apologized. The drivers knew nothing and were of no help whatsoever finding anything. No one would take responsibility. They have the worst customer service ever. EVER.EVER. EVER.

Many crazy and horrible things to keep in mind about this horrendous company:
1) They will book a moving date for you - even if you don't have one yet - and then charge you a re-booking fee when you call with a real date. They did this with me.

2) They may use subcontractors with rented trucks for many parts of your move - these movers are not all trained or very competent - as far as I know they all were all subcontractors for my move.

3) They just don't give a ShXX about their customers

AVOID THEM AT ALL COSTS - I AM NOT THROUGH FLAMING THEM - THEY DESERVE MUCH WORSE AND SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN - I WILL BE SEEKING LEGAL ACTION -.

Long-distance move from Pennsylvania to California

Damaged items and no integrity of moving company.

My upright studio piano and brand new bedroom furniture, as well as glass dining room table and chairs, were all damaged in my move. Orange Van Lines, LLC contends that they are only liable for up to $96.00 when the final assessment was $1895.00 worth of damages per the .60 per pound that was agreed upon. I also had provided all photographs of items with the before and after affects, as well as complete breakdown of weights etc from the manufacturers for all items claimed. I've gone round and round with this company and it's acting claims liaison only to hear as of today, June 15, 2016, that Orange Van Lines is going out of business, and I remain unable to collect for the total damages that this company's moving representative caused. If in fact, this company continues with its poor quality of services provided, movers beware! You would be better off to sale all of your items and move only those most precious to you with other means of transport than with this company.

Long-distance move from Texas to North Carolina

Never use them again.

My nightmare started when they cam to pickup my  furniture. I had a quote from 2 months earlier where I went over what items I had including hard plastic containers for shipping items instead of using cardboard. My quote was for $2200 which I paid 10% when I booked. The packers came in, this was only the best part of the ordeal. Professional in packing. Now the fun starts. The supervisor now needs the remaining half of total bill. Now the bill goes from $2200 to over $3500. This is given to me when everything is packed up and being loaded on the truck. I am told because of the number of packages that I have to ship. How can this be just having someone come in and look at what I have to ship. I paid this but now the next situation. When the truck arrives at my new residence the first thing I am informed by the driver that large screen TV was not loaded on the truck, it was missed. This was in the original box which is very big. From there when he opened up the truck to unload there was all my stuff just piled up. The plastic containers that I filled myself I had marked on them what room and/or if they were heavy. This was a waste of my time since these plastice containers where just loaded on the truck haphazardly. Heavy on light and where ever there was a spot. There were a number items inside that were broken but to minor. The one piece that was wrapped by the mover was a hand made bench that I paid quite a sum for and I noticed before it was unwrapped that one leg was broken. This was totally unacceptable. Never received a call about this as I was instructed I would. Side note, the driver stated that the TV was not loaded by the him but by the warehouse of where my goods were stored until they got a truck heading to NC, The mover claimed that it was missed by the driver, since he was the one that loads the truck up. So who is the blame? Getting my TV to me was a trip in total frustration. Jenn, the one person I ended talking to regarding the delivery of my TV was the most unprofessional person I have ever encountered. She would not ship out my TV via expedited means since they do not approve of that. I would have to wait until the next truck heading towards NC. And I would not when that would be until the end of the week and this was on Monday we had this discussion. There was no guarantee that it would be shipped then. The finally one comment from this person that really got me irate was when she asked when did I get my household items, I informed her it was on Sunday, this was Tuesday and her quote was, " you have been out of your TV for 2 days. What is gods name does that mean. I informed her that I paid over $3500 to have all my goods delivered at the same time not at their whim. Finally a gentleman by the name of NIR finally got the TV shipped out by FEDEX a week later I received it. If it wasn't for him who knows how I would of gotten it. In closing I had to have the final 50% balance given to the truck driver before he opend the doors to his truck and only in form of US postal money orders.

My name is Emma and my moving experience was a total nightmare.  I moved from Fresno, California to Eugene, Oregon.  The company promised me that the movers would be at my house on June 23, 2015.  I never received a call, never received an email, didn't receive any form or communication from the movers.  Once I called and requested a time frame, the drivers called and told me they were scheduled for the 24th.  The called and first t was "we will be there at 10:00, then it was traffic problems so we will be there at 3:00, then to we will be there at 5:00.  Once they arrived, they showed up in a 26 foot Rental truck from Ryder.  They shoved a three bedroom, 2 bath house into a 26 foot rental,  The estimate was originally $4400, but of course, the didn't take into consideration the boxes.  HELLO, everyone has boxes. The kitchen alone had 10-15 boxes.  So all the while, they are cramming all my furniture into this rental truck.  The price went up to a standard flat rate of $6000.  The movers used tape, tape and more tape on everything but the kitchen sink.  Supposedly their packaging techniques was going to protect my personal belongings.  Yeah RIGHT.  So it is now at midnight on the 24th, they leave and are driving back to LA.  Now I was in Fresno moving to Oregon.  LA is the opposite direction.  I asked the movers why are you going back to LA from Fresno.  They said they couldn't move me until Friday, so they were going back.  It is now Friday, June 26, 2015 and I am in my new apartment without furniture.  I have my husband 70 years old, my mother 82 years old and myself in an apartment with no furniture.  I called customer service and was told the movers would not deliver until Saturday, June 27, 2015.  I was in contact with the driver who kept on telling me that the truck was having mechanical problems and that it needed to be fixed.  So Saturday, mechanical problems, Sunday mechanical problems, Monday mechanical problems, Tuesday mechanical problems.. so FINALLY on Tuesday, June 30, 2015 the movers first said it would be dropped off at 10:00, then at 3:00, then at 5:00.  They show up in a 62 foot semi truck, my stuff has now been JAMMED INTO THE MIDDLE of who knows what and I don't even know who's property it was, this was not the rental truck my furniture started in, and two guys jump out of the semi.  The drivers takes one look at the upstairs and want to charge an extra $63 for the extra steps.  The driver hired local movers to help unpack the truck, and the next nightmare continued.  All the boxes were moved upstairs.. when I clearly stated that I wanted certain boxes in the garage, right by the truck.  3 hours later, while trying to set up my furniture, I found a broken curio cabinet, damaged kitchen table, damaged dresser, trundel bed without hardware (and the excuse was we didn't take it down so we cannot help you), missing ladder, broken desk, damaged washing machines, damaged dryer, damaged microwave.  My bike was damaged as well, and parts to my husband's bike were missing.  I have since emailed Austin, my sales rep, and guess what.. NO RESPONSE! Imagine that.  I WILL NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANY OF MY FRIENDS WHO ARE MOVING WITHIN THE NEXT YEAR. Oh and my check of $3361.51 for the deposit was never turned into the office so I was told I could not receive my furniture until I went to the bank and sent them a cashier's check because my check could not clear in time.  I gave the driver my check on Wednesday, so by Tuesday of the following week I had to come up with the whole amount before my delivery.  UNFREAKING AMAZING    .

Long-distance move from California to Texas

Move from California to TX.

Truly a nightmare of a moving experience.  I moved from California to Dallas.  The company promised to deliver my stuff within 12 days.  It has been 20 days now and my stuff has not been delivered.  I have heard excuses from the truck broke down to the driver can't be reached.  I have called everyday and everyday I have been promised that someone will call me and no one ever calls back.  I finally received a call from the driver who I told this has been the worst experience and his response was, "well then go to hell, I am not going to deliver your stuff" and hung up the phone on me.  I only wish I would have seen the reviews prior to making my order.  I am in the process of filing a police report because they have taken my money and have my stuff and refuse to deliver it.  I never write reviews, I am only doing this to prevent anyone to go through what I have gone through the past 3 weeks.

Do Not Use This Company.

NEVER use this company. They are a total scam. It's been 2 months and we STILL have not received our California King size mattress that they conveniently "forgot" to deliver. Every time we call their customer service department nobody knows what the hell is going on. Don't even bother leaving a message since nobody EVER returns phone calls. We were better off getting a person with severe mental disabilities with a pickup truck to move our stuff. .

Long-distance move from California to Washington

Beyond Disappointed.

Below is an email I sent Matthew from Orange Van Lines, after finally getting a hold of him. He told me to put everything in an email and he would speak to his bosses. I never heard back from him, as I was told he was put on medical leave. I then called numerous times and sent this email to others and NEVER heard back from anyone- it's been 1.5 years now.

We decided to go with your company because of how personal you were, informative, upfront, the training the movers receive, and because we "weren't going to be another number but a name." You gave us your email and phone number and let us know that we could contact you at any time. We told you that we were wanting our stuff in Seattle at the beginning of March (3rd-5th). You told us that there were already a few shipments in the warehouse and that the truck would be going out at the end of February or the first 2 days in March at the latest. We asked you to be honest and you explained that there is always a window of time but they would be able to get it there maybe a few days later than expected if some unforeseen circumstance were to happen. We were satisfied with that and decided to go with your company and have it all packed up on February 26th. The movers seemed to be doing a good job, but come to realize once we received our stuff they got lazy towards the end of the packing (I will explain later). The guy in charge of the move told us our stuff wouldn't even be put in the warehouse but right in the truck and we would receive it in 7-10 days. So, the following Thursday to Sunday. We were estimated by you for it to be there either Wednesday or Thursday but we understood they had to give themselves a few days just in case something happened.

All was packed up and we were road tripping up the coast. My husband emailed and called you with no response until a couple days later. So we called customer service on Monday, March 1st, only to find out that the truck was not going to packed up until March 5th and leaving on March 6th (around the time we expected to receive the shipment). We were both quite upset as it wasn't because of a flat tire or anything but because it was still sitting in the warehouse. The customer service agent told my husband there was nothing we could do. I called back to talk to her myself and she said with a unpleasant tone "as I told your husband, there is nothing that can be done." I asked to speak to a supervisor but she said she was busy and she would have to call me back. I did not receive a phone call until the next morning, and she too was not very helpful or even sympathetic to the frustrations of living out of hotel with a newborn. She said I shouldn't be upset because they were within their window. I told them that our stuff was packed up on February 26th and it not even being loaded on the truck for another week was not what we were told. We felt like we were OVER PROMISED AND UNDER DELIVERED. I told her that I was contacting her to try to get this issued solved before posting a review. She was no help. I then tried calling you, Matthew, again. I got a hold of you when we finally received the shipment on Thursday, March 12th. I was back in California but husband was there as they could not fit the truck on the street which you said we shouldn't be concerned with. That was an additional $600. The mover, who was contracted out, which you never told us about that did not have any help. His hired people didn't show up and he could NOT find a smaller moving truck so he used his friends to help move our stuff, along with their cars, and we were charged $600 for that- Unacceptable in my opinion.

You told me everything I was experiencing was unacceptable and that you would try to get to the bottom of it. You said you would call me back either Friday or Saturday. I never received a phone call. I called you several days later and you let me know that you were win the hospital, which is why you did not call me. You said you would speak to the owner but you asked me to put all of this in writing first. Once we did unpack our stuff, I realized the packing was very inconsistent. For example, most of our lamps were packed very well with bubble wrap, and then there was one lamp that was acrylic that was in a box, unwrapped, with fireplace tools (also unwrapped) which then scrapped each other and my lamp. There was a frame in that same box unwrapped and the corner was ruined. Not one thing in that box was wrapped.. they just threw it in there and taped it up. Also, there was a random wine glass wrapped but at the bottom of a big box underneath 12 plates and a few platters, so of course that was broken. I understand it is the nature of a move that some things will be chipped or broken, as there were other items that were, but the items I listed above were ruined out of laziness. You held your movers and their training in high regard, so seeing this was disappointing.

We are unsatisfied and disappointed with the whole experience!
